Artists Create a Colorful Face for Construction

The Oakland Museum of California received a "face-lift" last week, in the form of a new art mural at our Oak Street Entry. Oakland artist Favianna Rodriguez created the 150-foot mural including contributions from twenty California artists (including her own work) in a wide range of media. The result—a digitally layered blend of graphic styles—elegantly captures our state’s diversity and energy.

Contributing artists (in alpha order): Jesus Barraza, Traci Bartlow, Melanie Cervantes, Elaine Su-Hui Chew, John Carr, Brett Cook, Emory Douglas, Juan Fuentes, Keba Konte, Geraldine Lozano, Man One, Minette Mangahas, Estria Miyashiro, Favianna Rodriguez, Shizu Saldamando, Bayeté Ross Smith, Gustavo Alberto Garcia Vaca, WERC, Amanda Williams, and Ernesto Yerena
