ART GUILD TRAVEL | Ireland: Art and Enchantment in the Emerald Isle

Jul 9 - Jul 19, 2012

Post trip- Extension to Western Ireland July 19– 22

Visually dazzling, culturally expansive, the Emerald Isle is a wonderful place to explore the  ancient, the traditional, and the contemporary, all in a compact space.  We’ll enjoy visiting, among other sites, pre-historic tombs, medieval castles, and an abbey from the 12th century, as well as the studio/home of a California artist working in County Cork , private collections, and Irish wood turners, ceramicists, and jewelry makers.

We begin in Dublin, known for its enthusiasm, where we will be introduced to the historic, the modern, and the entertaining city via  Irish theater, cuisine, music and art.  We travel on to Kilkenny, Cork and Ennis.
