The Council on Architecture
Founded in 1971, the Council on Architecture supports the Museum and celebrates its exceptional architecture. Its members are interested in promoting greater understanding and appreciation of the built environment through architectural tours, exhibits, and lectures.

Special Projects
The first Sunday of the month members of the Council on Architecture lead tours featuring the Museum's architecture and gardens at 1 p.m. There's lots to talk about with the exciting enhancements to the building by Mark Cavagnero Associates.
The Oakland Museum: A Gift of Architecture, a monograph of the history of the museum building, is available at the beautiful new OMCA Store on the second level.
Oakland Museum of California pop-up cards designed by Joyce Aysia, Live Your Dreams Designs, funded by the COA, are available in the OMCA Store.
