Where
did we go?
Point Reyes National Seashore, just 40 miles north of San Francisco,
is one of the most spectacular ocean front parks in the world. Home
to a variety of animals and plants, it is a diverse land of natural
features including beaches, bays, dunes, estuaries and forests. |

What
did we do?
On June 27th we walked down (and up!) 309 stairs to explore the
Historic Pt. Reyes light house. At Drake's beach we had lunch, played
in the waves and went on an eco-scavenger hunt.
We slept at the Point Reyes Youth Hostel, played games and went
for a night hike after dinner. We saw a couple of deer and lots
of bats feeding on insects.

Pt.
Reyes
"Today was a fun and exciting day because we did
lots of fun stuff. For example we went to Pt. Reyes and visited
the lighthouse. The sad part was that we had to walk down
300 stairs just to get there!!! After that, we went to go
eat lunch at a beach. Since we were at a beach, we decided
to get wet so we chased some waves!!! Afterwards, we went
to our hostel to eat dinner and sleep. We thought it would
be so ugly, but it turned out to be pretty nice and very clean.
When we arrived at the hostel the air was perfect compared
to the city it is really cool or sometimes moist. At Pt. Reyes
is a really nice place to live in because there's really no
violence. It's really quiet. Where I live it's really noisy
at night and there's a lot of crazy people just walking around
yelling like if there crazy or something. The people are really
nice at Pt. Reyes compared to where I live the people are
sometimes nice and sometimes really mean."

| On
June 28th, at Limantour Spit, we saw all sorts of interesting life
forms including elk, a red racer snake, ducks, a tree frog, hawks,
and even a horse! Limantour was fun and beautiful! |
