Baltimore Colt Ray May intercepts pass intended for Oakland Raider Raymond Chester. December 1970. Ron Riesterer, photographer. Gelatin silver print. Collection of Oakland Museum of California. The Oakland Tribune Collection. Gift of ANG Newspapers.

Baltimore Colt defender Ray May intercepts a last second pass from Oakland Raider quarterback George Blanda that was intended for Raymond Chester in the 1970 American Football Conference Championship game, won by the Colts 27-17. The defeat was especially frustrating for Oakland as it marked the third consecutive season in which the Raiders lost in the conference title game, just a step short of the Super Bowl.
