The public has only a few weeks left to enjoy the unprecedented and popular PIXAR: 25 Years of Animation at the Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) before the exhibition closes January 9. OMCA has expanded the number of days it will be open to the public over the holidays to accommodate visitors to one of its most well-attended exhibitions, which to date has welcomed more than 80,000 museum-goers from around the globe.

The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) today announced it received the 25-Year Award from the AIA (American Institute of Architects) California Council with Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates, 1969, Mark Cavagnero Associates, 2010. The 25-Year Award recognizes distinguished California architecture of enduring significance which has retained its central form and character, with the architectural integrity of the project intact. Winners of this prestigious award must be located in California and completed 25 to 50 years ago.

OMCA ACQUIRES HISTORIC ‘ALL OF US OR NONE’ POSTER COLLECTION

The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) today announced the acquisition of the renowned All Of Us Or None poster collection. Representing one of the most significant social movement collections in existence today, the acquisition of 23,500 posters documenting all streams of progressive activity-covering the 1960s poster renaissance that began in San Francisco, and including almost every political movement in the U.S. between the 1960s and the1990s-reinforces OMCA's dedication to telling the dynamic, multi-perspective story of California.
